After completing his undergraduate education at John Carroll University, Dr. Erik Warren trained in General Dentistry at University of Detroit Mercy. While in Dental school, Dr. Warren was a member of Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity and class vice president. He subsequently completed his residency in Oral Surgery at St. John Health System in Detroit, Michigan. While in residency, Dr. Warren attended medical school and completed his M.D. at Wayne State University.
Trained in full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Warren’s interests lie in dental alveolar surgery, implants, orthognathic surgery, head and neck pathology, trauma, and reconstruction. Additionally, he is an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, traveling to Washington DC to represent the profession.
A lifelong Cleveland Browns, Cavs and Indians fan, Dr. Warren has deep roots in the Cleveland area with many friends and family living nearby. Dr. Warren is married and his wife Sarah has blessed him with three children – Brett, Colin, and Mary. In addition to keeping busy with his children’s activities, Dr. Warren loves to be outdoors, boating on Lake Erie or fishing in the rivers.

Dr. Warren recently was awarded the Advocacy Challenge Coin from the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AAOMS). AAOMS designed its own Challenge Coin to recognize oral and maxillofacial surgeons who have made significant advocacy contributions on behalf of the Association. The distribution of these Challenge Coins will not only acknowledge these AAOMS members for their extraordinary service but perhaps also provide an inspiration to others to promote the specialty through advocacy.
Dr. Erik Warren joins other oral surgeons for the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) for “AAOMS Day on the Hill” in Washington, DC. They continue to speak to Members of Congress and Senators about modification of health savings accounts for patients and student loan reform. One of the memorable moments of a recent trip was meeting with Ohio Senator Rob Portman.
